About US
Vision Statement
Situated in Fort Collins Co. one of the most dynamic and upcoming cities in the U.S.A, Global Rhythms is eager to nurture a new generation of gifted musicians who will help advance and shape the musical culture of our century.
Mission Statement
Global Rhythms performs, and teaches music, to enrich and entertain communities Globally through Colorado, sharing the “gift of music” to all.
History
Global Rhythms was formed in 2010 by distinguished PanAfrican musician, Rolando Howard III, a dedicated music lover who desired to provide professional African style music to Central Virginia. We have been blessed to collaborate with many groups and organizations in the Washington DC area, New York, Richmond VA, Durham NC, Atlanta GA, and Orlando FL metropolitan areas. Global Rhythms programs seek to foster and develop diverse, informed audiences who value live traditional West African style performances and music education in our community; to help nurture and develop young musicians; and to advocate for music education. We serve area school-aged children each year through in-school ensemble performances and masterclasses. Because of our long history of providing music education services, and through our relationships with area schools, we are uniquely positioned to provide important enhancements to area school's own music programs.
We at Global Rhythms are proud of our more than 20 years of service to the community, and of the critical and popular recognition that many of our past
programs have received.
Global Rhythms is dedicated to achieving excellence in both contemporary and traditional West African Music.
